environmental stewardship through community education and youth leadership programs

EARTH SMART VILLAGE

Capital Campaign Announcement

This project is so much more than eco-tourism, leadership training, and environmental education.  We’re building the only future for humanity that will last.

A sustainable future is ,well, sustainable.  This is our vision, as we scale up our plans with community investment and international roll outs of our duplicable programs.  Tapping into the collective passion and energy of our team members.

That’s sustainability.  That’s Earth Smart Village.

THE MISSION

To advance environmental education, sustainable living, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experience at our facility as well as in the outdoor classrooms of the Cascade Mountains, the Rockies, and nearby national parks. We will also provide unique year-round environmental adventure experiences for families, schools, groups, and nature enthusiasts of all ages.

OUR PEOPLE

Once fully operational, EARTH SMART VILLAGE will employ ten permanent employees, fifteen to thirty interns, resident and visiting environmental educators, and supplemental well-trained professionals available to facilitate programs and daily operations. In addition, we will invite community members to volunteer and participate in a variety of exciting projects.

MAIN BUILDING

The Main Building is the hub of activity at EARTH SMART VILLAGE and will house a large meeting area for presentations and gatherings, classrooms, and administrative office. Classrooms will be equipped with tables, chairs, dry-erase boards, secure internet access, and AV.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Our guest lodge will comfortably sleep 52 adults and have rooms that meet ADA standards.  Our tent area will include 15 platforms, adjacent to the pavilion and bathhouse.  The nature lodge will feature a multi-purpose room for activities and events with easy access to all facilities and services.

OUTDOOR CLASSROOM MEETING VENUES

Our five acre campus will be nestled into the landscape to limit our interference with nature and it’s surrounded by miles of public land, thus granting us access to the most awesome outdoor classroom on earth!  Our programs and activities will take full advantage of the opportunities of our amazing location.
Seasonally, guests will be able to hike and ride mountain bikes or horses, or cross-country ski through towering forests, beside pristine streams and waterfalls.  The possibilities are endless!  Plans also include six team-building courses, two orienteering courses, four pavilions, and an observation tower.

GET INVOLVED

Our programs educate children and adults about the importance of environmental stewardship and will enable thousands from across the globe to develop a greater appreciation for the natural world.

Generous support from our friends in the community and corporate partners will help maintain affordable user fees.

The Board of Directors and staff of the GAEA Project would like to thank you in advance for choosing to support our vital mission, providing quality environmental education programs and experiences for the thousands of people.
